MANILA CITY TOUR

The interesting highlight are Fort Santiago, built 1663 inside the older Walled City of Intramuros. The Manila American Cemetery & Memorial with its 17,100 marble headstones of gallant American and Filipino soldiers who died during WWII. The Rizal Park and rolling tour to the reclaimed area of the Cultural Center Complex; then to the Central Business District of Makati. A visit to a curio of Filipino crafts is a must for a change in your shopping environment before driving back to your hotel.

TAGAYTAY RIDGE TOUR

At 2,250 ft. above sea level Tagaytay Ridge offers a magnificent view of the smallest and lowest volcano in the world, Taal Volcano resting in the middle of serene Taal Lake. A deceptive tranquility, the 1911 eruption claimed 1,300 lives and 300 more in 1965 burying 6 barrios, 5-hour tour ends at the People's Park in the Sky providing a picturesque 360 degrees view of the three provinces south of Metro Manila and westward to the sea; preferred by visitors flying out of the country late afternoon with free transfers to the airport. An 8-hour tour also provides a visit to GBR Museum or La Salle Museum – GBR (Wed-Sun) and La Salle (Tues – Friday). Refreshment or Lunch will be taken in a cozy restaurant overlooking the lake and the volcano.

VOLCANO ISLAND TREKKING

Drive through the scenic countryside to the town of Talisay in Batangas. Upon arrival, board motorized outriggers to Taal Volcano island 30 minutes away. Trek up to the wide expanse of hardened black lava to the rim of the crater and view the awesome moon-like landscape. Islanders are renting out horses for non-trekkers. Visitors will have a close-up view of the caldera from the rim. Return to a shoreline resort for a sumptuous lunch and possibly cool off to a fresh water lake swim.

PAGSANJAN GORGE AND FALLS

This tour takes you to the countryside south of Manila, for a 3-hour drive to the old town of Pagsanjan. A riverside resort provides a "banca" (dugout canoe) for the trip to the falls. Be prepared to get wet, water runs deep and strong in the Pagsanjan River, benevolent at times but not manageable during stormy weather when rain prods white-water mass racing downstream. At the falls, you may opt to ride a bamboo raft for a minimal fee that will take you underneath the waterfalls to experience as you "shoot the rapids" going downstream. Watch your boatmen as they skillfully maneuver the boat between rocks and boulders until you reach the calm waters of the river. Lunch follows at the riverside lodge.

VILLA ESCUDERO PLANTATIONS & RESORT

Two and a half hours South of Manila is the quaint and historic Villa Escudero, amidst coconut palms, verdant fields, and mountains reminiscent of old plantation life. Highlight of the tour is a family museum of archaeological artifacts, and private collections of antiquated relics from Pre-History, Spanish time, and World War II. Local folks will serenade you on board water buffalo-drawn carts that transports you going to a man- made waterfall that provides hydro-electric power to the plantation before. Lunch is served on tables set over a flowing stream. On weekends, a cultural show is presented for the delight of plantation visitors. Wholeday.

This tour begins in a dinner at Zamboanga Restaurant with some regional Cultural Dances presentation. A good blend of the present and memorable past is what this tour promises you for the night. MT. PINATUBO / VOLCANO TREKKING

Six hundred years of silence, the awakening was sudden and devastating. In 1991, the once highest peak in Central Luzon without telltale sign of warning erupted in a maelstrom of fury; spewing ashes 50,000 ft., into the atmosphere. The biggest eruption of the 20th century, left a catastrophic legacy so tragic this generation will never forget. Such, is Mt. Pinatubo. This tour offers a panoramic view of lahar and pyroclastic material deposits that buried thousands of hectares of agricultural lands and townships; spectacular lahar canyons formed in its wake completing the poignant view of the once biggest rice producing province of Luzon.
